1. Application of These Terms
These Terms apply to all matters between you and the Developer concerning the App. Notices and rules displayed in the App, on its App Store product page or elsewhere form part of these Terms.
2. What the App Does
The App is an aid for managing plant details, watering intervals and history, growth records, photos, notes, notifications and Widgets. Schedules, completion rates, statistics and notifications are reference information based on your entries and in-app calculations. The App does not guarantee optimal care for any species, environment, season, temperature, humidity, pot, soil or health condition.
3. Not Professional Advice
Information in the App, and any automated suggestions that may be offered in the future, is general reference information and is not horticultural, agricultural, plant-diagnostic, medical or other professional advice. Consult a qualified expert or public authority about abnormalities, pests, toxicity, or safety for pets and children.
4. Requirements
You are responsible for obtaining a compatible Apple device, OS, Apple ID, connectivity and other required environment. Changes to an OS, device, iCloud, App Store or another external service may make some features unavailable.
5. Your Responsibilities
You use the App at your own responsibility and remain responsible for entries, watering, checking plant condition and managing data. Do not rely solely on notifications; inspect plants directly.
6. Prohibited Conduct
You must not: • violate law or public order; • infringe the App’s or another person’s rights; • disrupt operation of the App; • gain unauthorised access, reverse engineer, analyse or modify the App, except where expressly permitted by applicable law; • intentionally exploit defects; • attempt fraudulent or false purchases, refunds or restorations; or • engage in conduct the Developer reasonably considers improper.
7. User Content
Rights in plant names, photos, notes, growth records and other content you enter remain with you or the lawful rights holder; the Developer does not acquire ownership. You must not enter content that infringes copyright, image, privacy or other rights. Content may be copied or processed by systems only as needed to provide features, sync and backup.
8. Storage and Backup
Data is stored on your device or, if enabled, in iCloud. You are responsible for managing it as needed. Device failure, App deletion, OS updates, sync failures, insufficient iCloud storage or Apple ID changes may result in loss, corruption, duplication or failed sync. The Developer does not guarantee complete storage, recovery or synchronisation.
9. Notifications and Integrations
Notifications, Widgets, App Intents, Shortcuts and Spotlight depend on the OS, device settings, connectivity and background-execution limits. Notifications at a specified time, immediate Widget updates and continuous availability of integrations are not guaranteed.
10. Leafia Pro
Leafia Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that removes the free version’s current eight-plant limit and unlocks statistics. The purchase screen controls the current feature description. Prices shown there and in the App Store may vary by country, region, tax and Apple pricing. Apple governs purchases, billing, receipts and refunds; the Developer does not directly receive card details. Restoration may be available when Apple can verify the purchase under the same Apple ID, but is not guaranteed. Leafia Pro is not a subscription and does not auto-renew.
11. Refunds
Refund eligibility and procedure are governed and decided by Apple. The Developer does not directly issue refunds through the App.
12. Intellectual Property
Except for user content, intellectual-property rights in the App, its design, logo, software, text and related materials belong to the Developer or lawful rights holders.
13. Changes, Suspension and Discontinuation
The Developer may change, suspend or discontinue all or part of the App for maintenance, incident response, provider changes, legal compliance or another reasonable reason. Where possible, material changes will be announced in the App or on the App Store product page.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided “as is”. The Developer does not warrant accuracy, completeness, usefulness, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, freedom from errors, preservation of data, delivery of notifications, or plant health, growth or survival.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the Developer is not liable for loss arising from use or inability to use the App, missed notifications, lost data, damaged or dead plants, lost profits or indirect damages. This limitation does not apply to intentional misconduct or gross negligence by the Developer, or where mandatory law, including consumer-protection law, does not permit it.
16. Restriction of Use
If you breach these Terms, the Developer may restrict use of the App or related features to the extent technically possible and reasonably necessary.
17. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may update these Terms when laws, features or services change. Material changes will be announced in the App, on the App Store product page or by another appropriate method. Updated Terms take effect when posted in the App or on a separately stated date.
18. Severability
If any provision is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
Japanese law governs these Terms. To the extent permitted by applicable law, a Japanese court with jurisdiction over the Developer’s address has exclusive first-instance jurisdiction over disputes concerning the App. This clause does not improperly limit rights under consumer-protection law.
