1. Information We Process
The App processes information needed to provide its features, including: • plant names, categories, growing start dates, watering intervals and last-watered dates; • watering history, care notes and growth records; • plant and growth-record photos selected by you; • notification time, language, theme, Widget settings and other preferences; • Leafia Pro purchase status and information required to restore purchases; • usage events such as screen views, feature actions and purchase outcomes; and • crash, device, OS, app-version, launch-time and performance diagnostics. Plant names, note text, photo data and other user content, Apple IDs, email addresses and names are not sent as Firebase Analytics event parameters.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to manage plants, schedules, watering history and growth records; provide notifications, Widgets, App Intents, Shortcuts and Spotlight integration; back up and restore data through iCloud; verify and restore Leafia Pro; improve features and user experience; diagnose crashes, defects and performance; and maintain security and reliability. We do not use it for advertising, third-party ad personalisation, or tracking across other companies’ apps or websites.
3. Data Storage
Plant data, watering history, notes, growth records, photos and settings are generally stored on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, the data contained in the plant model, including photo data, may be backed up to iCloud Documents in your iCloud account and restored on compatible devices. Apple’s services and terms govern iCloud data. App deletion, device failure, iCloud changes, insufficient storage or sync failures may cause data to be lost, damaged, duplicated or not synchronised.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses: 1. Apple iCloud / CloudKit for storage, backup and restoration when sync is enabled; 2. Apple StoreKit / App Store for Leafia Pro purchases, entitlement checks and restoration. Apple processes payments; the Developer does not receive or store card numbers; 3. Google Firebase Analytics to measure usage and improve features and experience; 4. Google Firebase Crashlytics to detect and diagnose crashes and defects; and 5. Google Firebase Performance Monitoring to measure and improve launch and processing performance. These services may process device, OS, app, app-instance identifier, usage-event, crash and performance information under Apple’s and Google’s respective privacy policies.
5. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Developer does not sell or disclose user information except with your consent; to service providers where the minimum necessary transmission is required to operate the App; when required by law; or when necessary to protect life, physical safety or property and consent is difficult to obtain.
6. Tracking and Advertising
The App displays no third-party advertising and does not use data to track you across other companies’ apps or websites. It does not obtain or use the Advertising Identifier for advertising and does not request AppTrackingTransparency permission.
7. Photo Access
The App accesses only photos you select through the iOS photo picker when you choose to add a plant or growth-record photo. It does not continuously collect or monitor your photo library.
8. Notifications
The App uses local notifications for watering schedules and similar reminders. You can change permission in iOS Settings, and a notification may show a plant name you entered. Notifications may not appear as scheduled because of device settings, OS state, battery, connectivity or other circumstances.
9. Deleting Data
You can delete plants, watering history, growth records and photos in the App. Deleting the App removes on-device data, but an iCloud backup may remain if sync was used. iCloud data may be manageable through settings or Apple’s iCloud management tools. The App has no user-account registration feature.
10. Security
The Developer takes reasonable safeguards against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and loss. Complete security of internet communications, cloud services or electronic storage cannot be guaranteed.
11. Children
The App is not designed primarily for children and does not collect age information. Users below the age at which parental consent is legally required should use the App only with that consent.
12. International Processing
Use of Firebase and other providers may involve processing on servers outside your country or region. Each provider handles information under applicable law and its contractual obligations.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy when laws, features or service providers change. Material changes will be announced in the App, on the App Store product page or by another appropriate method. An updated Policy takes effect when posted in the App or on a separately stated date.
14. Contact
For questions about the App, use the support channel listed on the App’s App Store product page.
